The group are currently addressing these issues:

  • A swift delivery of the Queen’s Hills Community Centre. - A PLANNING APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED
  • Children’s play areas. - ON THEIR WAY
  • Appropriate traffic calming measures.
  • Fully functioning and adequate street lighting.
  • HGV lorry parking on the main access road between the ambulance station and retail park roundabout cause dangerous highway obstructions to drivers, particularly to Ambulances on emergency calls, on what is the only access road into the community.
  • The need for a second access route to the development, but one which does not create a “rat run”.
  • Dog mess on the paths and roads.  We need Dog Poo bins.
  • Litter dropped along the roads (with the possibility that some spills are from the refuse collection lorries).
  • Parking.  There are narrow roads and insufficient space for the number of vehicles, leading to parking on verges and paths.  Secure cycle parking areas are also needed.
  • The standard and completion of paths and kerbs needs to be addressed.
  • Better road signage is needed to Queen’s Hills from the A47. - DONE
  • Completion of the Country Park (which is part of the Queen’s Hills identity).
  • We need a Post box.
  • We need recycling centre facilities.
  • We need bus shelters.
